Episode 43 - Lovin' Every Minute Of It

Episode 42 - Adolpho Yabbadoo

A week late and a few dollars short, Nick and I finally present the first edition of a special O.U.P. sub-sub-series unfortunately known as "No Squeakuel Summer" (part of our ongoing "The Best Movie of All-Time!" sub-series). We'll be taking a look at live-action films based on animated series, starting with Brian Levant's 1994 blockbuster "The Flintstones". Have a gay old time with us as we discuss the finer points of stone-age puns, the horrors of Elizabeth Taylor, and my ever-growing despisal of Halle Berry. Plus, embezzlement FOR KIDS!!!

The answer (and oftentimes, the sound quality) are blowing in the wind this week as Nick and I take to the patio of my apartment building one last time to answer the question of what makes 1997's "The Full Monty" a prime candidate for the title of "The Best Movie of All-Time!". In the process, we discuss how unerringly British this picture is, the ins and outs of Sheffieldian slang, the Broadway smash inspired by the film, and one of the best soundtracks ever.
